Draft for review. This page is a starting point written for the Nook team, not legal advice. Replace every [BRACKET], and have it reviewed by a qualified person before you publish it or give the link to Google Play or the App Store.
Delete your account
You can delete your Nook account and your personal data at any time. Google Play and the App Store both require this page and an option inside the app.
In the app
- Open Nook and go to More, then My profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm. [This button is planned. Make sure it exists in the app before you publish this page.]
If you can't open the app
Email support@nookhq.app from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Nook account". We may ask you to confirm it is you. We will respond within [7] days.
What is deleted
- Your profile, sign-in and personal notes.
- Your name and photo are removed from groups. Messages and tasks you wrote in a shared group may stay in that group without your name, so the group's history still makes sense. [Confirm this rule with your adviser.]
- If you are the only admin of a group, you will be asked to choose another admin or delete the group first.
- Personal data is deleted or anonymised within [30] days. Backups are cleared on a rolling schedule within [N] days. Records we must keep by law are kept only as long as required.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel it in your store account first.
